The focus of this two-book photocopiable series is designing within the technology context. Many technology teachers have a deep understanding of the materials and processes associate with the technology curriculum, but often because of background and training, are less confident with teaching aspects of design. The contents of this series are not comprehensive in terms of design, but instead focus on a number of key areas in the design process. The broad range of student activities included in the books can be used in a number of ways: as worksheets for students to complete individually and independently; as worksheets for students to complete in groups; as the basis for teacher-led class discussions; as supplementary work to a lesson; to assist with individual student portfolios; or as homework activities.
